NORTH AMERICAN ROCKWELL OV-10B BRONCO
This American light attack and observation aircraft can safely be called a legend! It was developed in the 1960s and was mainly used for air support of ground troops. It was specialed for counter-insurgency (COIN) combat.
It was developed mainly to serve the US Navy, where it was operated on aircraft carriers as a light armed observation aircraft. After the USAF became interested in it that it became more focused on its offensive power and was included in the aforementioned program. As can be seen , the aircraft is twin-turboprop. Its great advantage is the fact that it can fly for up to five hours, it is capable of short take-off and landing (STOL) and the uniqueness of this aircraft is also that it allows a two-man crew to see in all directions. In addition, despite its relatively short fuselage, the aircraft can accommodate up to a five-man commando or two stretchers. It can carry up to four machine guns. It was mostly deployed in the Vietnam War, where it was used for forward air control and ground attack missions.
At the LEGENDY NEBES will be presented OV-10B Bronco owned by the French company Museé de la chase de Montélimar under the registration F-AZKM. It was acquired in 1991 and became airworthy in 1996. You can admire the day display as well as the sunset display. It was repainted in its original colours and then in its current Desert Storm livery.
